How to prepare for a Holter monitoring examination
No special preparation for installing the equipment is required. At the beginning of the examination, the specialist will attach electrodes and the device itself to the skin, which is very light and does not interfere with daily activities. Patients with prominent chest hair are advised to shave it beforehand, as it may interfere with the attachment of the electrodes – see electrode attachment points in the picture below. If necessary, it will be possible to get rid of hair in the places where the electrodes are attached in the office.

How to prepare for a cycle ergometry test
Do not eat or smoke 2 hours before the examination. You should bring comfortable clothes – sportswear is preferred. It is recommended to bring the results of electrocardiogram or echocardiography examinations with you in order to be able to determine the results of the examination more accurately. In the case of cycle ergometry, patients should arrive in comfortable clothing (e.g. sportswear). At the beginning of the examination, the specialist will attach electrodes to the skin. Patients who have significant chest hair are advised to shave it beforehand, as it may interfere with the attachment of the electrodes – see electrode attachment points in the picture below. If necessary, it will be possible to get rid of hair in the places where the electrodes are attached in the office.
