SIA “Jūrmalas slimnīca” Clinical diagnostic laboratory is competent to perform examinations in accordance with the requirements of standard LVS EN ISO 15189:2022 in the following sphere: hematological, coagulological, clinical, clinical chemical, immunochemical and immunohematological examination of material obtained from a person.
SERVICES
The following laboratory tests are available around the clock: Coagulopathy; Biochemistry; Hematology; Immunohematology; Clinical analyses; Diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
All examinations are performed in the laboratory on the day of material removal. Those examinations that are not performed on site are sent to SIA “Centrālā laboratorija” and SIA “Akadēmiskā histoloģijas laboratorija”.
The blood sample should be submitted on an empty stomach, especially in cases of sugar, cholesterol, liver enzymes, etc.
The material to be examined must be submitted together with a laboratory test request form filled out by a doctor – “Nosūtījums uz ambulatorajiem laboratorijas izmeklējumiem” (“Referral for outpatient laboratory tests”) If the patient wishes to submit the material to be examined on their own initiative, then this form is filled out by a laboratory employee.
The material to be examined (urine, feces, etc.) must be submitted in special containers, which can be obtained free of charge at the laboratory or from the attending physician.

All tests are performed in the laboratory on the day the material is collected. Those tests that are not performed on site are sent to authorized laboratories – SIA “Centrālā laboratorija” and SIA “Akadēmiskā histologiās laboratorija”.
The test results indicate the reference values (norms) for each parameter – according to age and gender.
The test results can be received in the laboratory or electronically to the e-mail address you provided, or they will be sent to your doctor. Test result reports are available in E-health and IS datamed.lv. A person can view and download the test result report in E-health and IS datamed.lv by identifying themselves with a qualified high-security electronic identification tool (eID, eParaksts, eParaksts mobile, Smart-ID).
In e-health, test result reports are available for all tests performed starting in 2024 and are available free of charge for an unlimited period. If a person has given consent and their e-mail is registered in the LIS DiaLab of Jurmala Hospital, an informative e-mail is sent about the availability of the result report in IS datamed.lv. All outpatient test result reports are available in IS datamed.lv for an unlimited period. They can be accessed free of charge within 30 days of the date of the examination. Using the access details issued by the hospital, access to a specific examination is free of charge and unlimited.
