Marija Mohova is one of the two therapists in Latvia who has obtained the prestigious Diploma in Fetal Medicine and is certified in all categories of the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) – ultrasonography of the first and second trimester of pregnancy, dopplerography, examination of the fetal heart and performing invasive procedures. The doctor obtained her subspecialization in fetal medicine in London, prof. Led by Kypros Nicolaides, the founder of prenatal diagnostics.

Various examinations are performed during pregnancy monitoring, including ultrasonography. There are certain situations when in-depth ultrasonoscopy must be performed and it is performed, i.e., by expert-level ultrasonography specialists (this is provided for by MK regulations no. 611).
In what cases are such experts conducting examinations?
– if pregnancy pathology is suspected
– if the pregnant woman is 35 years old or older
– if blood biochemical indicators indicate the risk of Down syndrome
– etc. in cases of hereditary genetic pathologies
