Augmentation or breast enlargement with silicone implants is usually performed, if a women has small, undeveloped or asymmetrical breast, her breast tissue has reduced and lost its volume after breastfeeding.
Before the surgery
You should have a blood test and certain examinations – breast ultrasound or mammography, when needed.
Process of the surgery
Breast augmentation is achieved using implants. These are latest generation silicone gel-filled implants with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. Implants are resistant and the body tolerates them well. If an implant is placed under the muscle, then glandular tissues of the breast are almost not affected during placement. There are implants of different shapes – round implants are usually chosen for impressive décolleté, but if you want a natural shape, then there are implants of “anatomical” shape. The surgery lasts about 1.5-2 hours and is performed under general anaesthesia.
Post-operative period
You should stay in the hospital for 1-2 days. You should wear a special bra for 4 weeks after the surgery. You can have a shower on day 4-5 after the surgery, but you should not swim or have a bath, or start physical activity faster than 3-4 weeks after the surgery.
Result
The early result can be seen in 2-3 months.
